Knit Projects & Patterns

Ceres Convertibles

The Ceres Convertibles are a pair of convertible mittens with the option to add a leaf pattern on the flap. I was inspired to design this pattern by my boyfriend who really wanted a pair of convenient gloves for his daily life. I added the leaf design afterwards for the following gloves to give it the last personal touch.

The pattern has not been fully tested yet, so if you are interest in test-knitting it, please let me know! :)
I tested two different types of yarn and can really recommend Sandnes Merinoull as it is a high-quality yarn with neat texture. You should buy 2 skeins which should cover all sizes.

To decide the size, you can measure the circumference of your palm. Note that all sizes and lenghts are given in cm in this pattern. Here is an orientation for the size to choose:
  • Circumference of 18.5 cm: S
  • Circumference of 20 cm: M
  • Circumference of 22 cm: L
What you need for this project:
  • 3.5 mm double-pointed needles (magic loop works as well)
  • 2 skeins of DK yarn with matching gauge (I recommend Sandnes Merinoull)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Measuring tape
  • 3 long stitch holders
  • 3 stitch markers

The pattern is available on Ravelry or as free download here:
